Some unofficial phone apps appear to be using GameFAQs as a back-end, but they do not behave like a real web browser does. Using GameFAQs regularly with these browsers can cause temporary and even permanent IP blocks due to these additional requests. If you are using Maxthon or Brave as a browser, or have installed the Ghostery add-on, you should know that these programs send extra traffic to our servers for every page on the site that you browse. The game ran beautifully at this resolution, however, often pulling in well over 100 frames per second. 4K support is nice, as well, though I game on a 2560 x 1440 display and couldn't test the full 4k version. It may not be worth a second purchase if you already have Dark Arisen, but it's a great excuse to get back into one of the best games in years, and it should be interesting to see what the modding community does with the game as well. It's a small thing, but entirely unnecessary and extremely annoying.īut other than these small misses, Capcom has done a beautiful job bringing Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen to PC. So if you enter a wrong letter or want to change what you've written, pressing Delete only gets you one letter down before spitting you back to the previous menu. For instance, when entering your character's name the key assigned to back out of the process is Delete. Occasionally keyboard wonkiness can upset an otherwise decent user interface. Your character and pawns have a tendency to slip inside and out of the monsters they climb, for example, entire bodies subsumed into the larger beasts. I didn't encounter any game-breaking bugs though there's some graphics hiccups here an there. 
This isn't a remake, it's a fairly straight port, and satisfyingly solid in a no-frills sort of way. But don't expect it to look discernibly better on PC than it did on consoles. An unlocked framerate certainly helps make the game feel more smooth this time around as well. Graphically, the PC port gives us a few more options than before, and the game looks a bit crisper than it did on PS3 and Xbox 360. Combat is fast and fierce and includes a suite of special powers and abilities, as well as monster scaling so that you can strike from above. It's nothing at all like Dark Souls, either. Dragon's Dogma is its very own beast with some of the best action combat you can find in any game, putting titles like The Witcher 3 and Skyrim to shame, at least in the combat department.
